If you require ANY information regarding honeybees, bumblebees, solitary bees or wasps, we are always happy to help so do not hesitate to give us a call and put your questions to us.
These can be booked for both daytime and evening meetings and we are prepared to travel to all areas. We can also provide a half-day in-school beekeeping talk and experience. Costs are quoted on request and are dependent on the requirements.
Subjects include the following:
Bees & Beekeeping
A general basic introductory talk for schools and social groups. It can include the provision of mini-jars of honey and rolled candles to take home
Gardening to Attract Bees and Insects
Cooking with Honey
A demonstration with items to taste at the end.
Beeswax
• How to recover this from the hive and clean it
• How to produce saleable items from beeswax

Various specialised subject teaching for more experienced beekeepers
Pebadale Apiaries put on demonstrations at a number of events throughout the year. This would normally include a display of beekeeping equipment, a glass observation hive with live bees, information panels outlining life cycles of the different bees and other bee related information and bee related items for sale. Requests for attendance at events should be made in advance so that any discussions regarding health and safety issues can be had.
